What Is DAXXIFY?
DAXXIFY is made of Botulinum Toxin A, just like Botox and Jeuveau. Unlike the others, it does not contain human serum albumin, so it is the only product which offers a peptide-based delivery system. The peptides stabilize the toxin, allowing it to last longer – up to 6 months in some patients. The peptide used in DAXXIFY is an amino acid peptide excipient that prevents surface absorption and promotes thermal stability.
How Long Does DAXXIFY Last?
DAXXIFY lasts up to six months and sometimes even longer. Depending on the dosing and area treated, patients can expect longevity of 2 months past the longevity of a standard neurotoxin. Typically, patients require Botox or Jeaveau about four times per year, but DAXXIFY is only needed about twice per year.
How Is DAXXIFY Different From Botox or Jeuveau?
DAXXIFY is made up of a smaller peptide complex and does not have the associated proteins which are formulated with Botox. It is stabilized by a peptide delivery system which allows it to stay on the nerve cell for much longer. With DAXXIFY, some patients have even reported a post-procedure glow to the skin, as well as a quicker and lighter onset.
How Is DAXXIFY Used?
DAXXIFY is injected the same way as Botox, the main difference is in the dosing. DAXXIFY’s longer-lasting results mean that selecting the right injector is the most important factor.
